1990 Mazda Miata *sold*
« on: October 20, 2011, 06:13:11 PM »

113,xxx miles and climbing as I'm now driving to Ann Arbor for my job. It's a great little car, well taken car of and looks really good with a nice coat of wax. Base model, role up windows, open diff, 1.6l engine w/ 5 speed manual. I can get 32 mpg on the highway being easy on the throttle. I had big plans for this car but I've taken a job that puts 80 miles each day on the car so I'm changing those plans.

Mods:
New as of this sping KYB AGX shocks, all the suspension bushings, ball joints, tie rods, bolts and nuts. (retained stock springs)
Eibach sway bars w/ adjustable links
cat delete spec Miata exhaust with road muffler. Its a little loud but in great condition.
11 lbs wheels (can't remember the brand off hand) with Dunlop summer tires (~3500 miles on them)
*comes with stock wheels as well
Miata front lip spoiler

It's a car old enough to drink legally so there are a few quirks:
pcv valve needs replacing
the clutch makes noises like a cricket occasionally. The clutch works perfectly however.
slight rust on the rockers in the usual spot on Miatas.
It will need a new soft top. It does leak in strong rain storms.
the interior is immaculate except for a small seam break on the back of the driver's seat and a crack in the arm rest (I have a replacement for that).

Asking $2000, MIVE price is $1800

There is a hard top available as well for $800

Sorry to hear of miata departure.  You put good work into her.
Take a side-by-side pic w/m4dh4x before the miata leaves.

Wow, that a lot to swallow at once, getting rid of the beloved Miata and a new job!
Where are you working now?

Well she sold a bit quicker than I had thought, sorta sad watching her go.  Driving 80+ miles now each day makes you realize just how important comfort and mpg's really is.  Sadly, in order for me to look into something newer I needed to free up some cash flow.

Francois, I'm working in Ann Arbor for Piolax as a sales coordinator.
