Am I missing something, literally?

I noticed my front grill was a bit loose along the bottom so had a fiddle with it. All the top clips are in place but I'm not sure what is supossed to hold it in place along the bottom. It seems like it might latch behind the bumper via some tabs but they don't reach high enough. There is evidence of one potential securing device roughly in the center but it may be broken. Can't believe that's athe only means of securing the grill so how do the 85 grills attach, anyone know or care to probe theres?

Some pictures to illustrate:

I'll double check today, but usually the lower tab on the grille rest on the body and the top tabs hold everything in place.
will take a couple pics for you.

It doesn't seem that the grille holding system has changes much over the years.
On the 83 there is a rubber snub that fits in the upper channel where the hood latch is.
See photos below
I think what usually happens is there are a pain to get of, so when the grille is removed, it is broken and then the grille is replace without that part.
I did not want to break it removing the grille, but I hope you see what I mean, if not drop on by.
Yesterday I had to replace the plastic and rubber crap that goes on the seat bottom for an easy glide in the track, would you know they are 2 different ones per seat and good luck finding them new!!! >:(

I may take the car and hang out on Woodward this evening. I was thinking outside Auto Europe, take it back from those F body chaps. Anyone care to join me?

I'd join ya but Auto Europe brings back lots of bad memories (and 1 good one).  Any chance you'd hang out somewhere else?
