I heard a great thing on NPR the other day........
So back in the day, there was an arctic jetstream of fricken cold air, and it basically circled around the top of the earth.  It never came down and mixed with our air due to temperature/moisture gradients caused by the ice.  Well, since the arctic ice is melting these gradients are more gradual now, and this allows the arctic jetstream to 'escape', and so large bulges of it break off and now bleed south.    At least this was how they explained why we saw a lot more snow and cold temps in the south this year.  They say as the gradients become more gradual (aka, as the ice keeps melting) larger and larger pockets will come down and its just going to get more exciting.

I was in Mexico this past week in Torreon which is in the northern area and it was freezing- 15F one morning.  People's pipes were bursting, and cars were all broken down (more than usual).

Ya I'll admit that is nice.  There is something to be said about the joy of snow.  Right now if I look in the driveway there is a 98 A4 1.8tqm sitting there with snow packed in the wheels.  Let me tell ya, it was fun packing them.  :)

Belle Isle??

Nope, the Blockbuster parking lot on the corner of Crooks and 14 mile.  I haven't been to Belle Isle this year sadly enough.  Maybe I'm getting too cautious but I don't really want to wager on a ticket.  It's beginning to become very popular which not only brings more people but the idiots as well.  There is a guy on MIVE who was all excited that he and his friend got stuck in their lowered cars and had to wait to get pulled out.  This kind of publicity will end up bringing more cops.

That sucks.  And with the city in need of cash the odds of talking your way out of a ticket are that much more slim.

Nope, not me.  I'm in Texas now.

And that price can be beat for the options/mileage combo.
