We will have a new forum theme and a blog in the very near future :)

I think you'll find it a welcome redesign -- including some tools which I hope will drastically reduce or eliminate the spammer problem.

Also, registration has been set back to email activation only since the new captcha's coupled with a very insightful question the user must answer correctly should stave off the minions.
