my previously owned 93 UrS4
« on: August 20, 2012, 08:52:13 AM »

yesterday Jesse and I went down to Logansport, IN to look at this 93 UrS4 the i saw FS on audifans (iirc the FS ad was posted back in early May and i just emailed the guy to see if there was a outside chance that it was still for sale and shockingly it was) and was very interested in the car. going back and forth in the emails this sounded like a solid car. the paint looks like hell and there is some rust going on but i wasnt looking for a beauty queen. the interior is in good shape for its age. i was looking for a daily driver. also i'll be using the car as a guide to put my avant back together since i'm a idiot and didnt label everything where is came from. oh well live and learn. i did a quick look over and test drive and i was satisfied with the car.

this is a 93 S4 that is basicly stock. its green with black interior. it has a little over 201,000 miles on her. the only upgrades that it got was clear corner lights, stainless steel brake lines, aftermarket stereo system and 17" Mille Miglias wheels. it had a cone air filter installed but imo i wouldnt call that an upgrade.

i've been having withdrawals since i've been audi-less since end of March 2011. holy cow do i miss driving a S-Car!!!!! here is the only pic i took yesterday. more pics to follow.

i bought a couple of parts before i even bought the car lol! its a sickness isnt it

its offical the car is legal to drive and now wait for the new title to come in.

this morning i finished up the install of the 2 of 3 samco boost hoses. i need to buy the MM hose. i originally bought these 2 samco hoses to use them on my avant and since its getting a FMIC i didnt buy the MM hose. i would've finished this last night but the parts store were closed and i needed to buy new hose clamps. and yes i did take of that cone air filter and i installed my stock air box from my avant.

this is the 034 silicone maf to turbo hose that i bought for my avant and since i sold the RS2 turbo, i no longer can use this with the bigger turbo my avant it getting.

not the color choice i would've gone with for this green car but it'll have to do.

while i was installing this samco hose i figured that i should installed the new diverter valve (was going to be used on the avant) since the PO told me the one thats on there is bad.

here are the 2 items that i bought before i bought this car.

pace setter rear muffler

this should dress up the rear a bit

sport steering wheel just came in today. i'm not sure when i'll install this

more pics

the pace setter looks nice on there

i dont think this lower part of the bumper can be fixed

nice to have the air box in there. i also fixed the misfire that this car had. i replaced the stock ignition system with the EFI LS2 coil kit (from my avant) and it did fix the problem but then i got a bucking issue. then i contacted Marc and told what was up and he said prob the spark plugs and i put in my plugs from my avant and it fixed that.

interior is in pretty good shape minus the few cracking CF trim pieces

I just sold this 93 UrS4. Sad that it came down to this but I just couldn't afford to keep up with all the issues that it needed to keep it.
