Power Antenna

I have antenna problems.  It's a 5000 tq, the power antenna is stuck in the up position.  I can hear the motor whirl when I turn on the radio.  Does anyone know if these things are repairable?  Or do I have to buy a new one?   Is there a good place to buy one locally?

Thought Radio Shack used to carry a replacement or something like this.  Have absolutley no idea of compatability, etc.

there is a plastic line inside the antenna with a geared edge.  They break and are not repairable.  I'd go with either good used or new from dealership cause the generic kind don't work very well.

I think I got the antenna fixed.  I got pissed and smacked it with a small rachet and bingo down she went.  I lubed it and tried it about a dozen times, worked perfect.  It probably won't work tomorrow.  I think this car has a ghost.
