As money would dictate, I'm semi-reluctantly putting the 86 4kcsq up for sale. I say "semi" as Kelly and I were able to negotiate some conditions, that in the bigger picture, I just couldn't bring myself to pass up.
*Yes, we seriously did have to negotiate this deal....lol.
Unfortunately, the car does still need brake lines. Brake pressure accumulator has a minor leak as does the valve cover gasket. Tires also should be replaced soon, although the tread does wear evenly @ all 4 corners.
Other minor, typical 4k quirks....
- Sunroof tilts, but slides very slow
- Door handles (pass rear is fine, front passenger little tricky, drv rear has just the guard, driver needs opening from inside. Vacuum lock still works fine @ all 4 doors, although ignition key is different.
- Both rear windows inop
- Short in dash lights, only half lights up. Stefan fixed this once already.
Red on brown interior. Interior is in good shape; seats show little wear. Car riding on rare, 14" BBS factory rims w/ Audi center caps. Lowered H&R sport susp from previous owner. Handles wonderfully. Trans is good. Odo is dead @ 159,xxx. Prev owner figured it had roughly 175 when I bought it. I roughly calculate it's around 205-210,xxx now.
Only had to do brakes and alternator before the lines went, thanks to I-96 construction zone.
Paid $1100, 1/07. Open to offers. Interested in trades: Acura, Honda, CRX, Prelude, Toyota....something daily driver and a little more reliable and/or easier to find parts. Another Audi, BMW, or VW will need to be cleared with Kelly as were still trying to finish repairs on the A6. Miles are no issue. A6 I bought with 302; my Vigor I bought @ 241; 4Runner @ 213......you get the idea.
