it  got  pressed in and  won't  pop up again, i checked  the fuse and its  good and the light  still works around it, what could be the problem, makes it hard to use a gps or radar detector in the car.  by the  way this  is a 2000  a4

In my detailing days I've seen a few that were stuck from pop being spilled all over them.  Is the problem that you can't light a cigarette or that you can't plug anything else in?

If it won't pop for more than four hours, call your doctor as it could be a sign of a rare, but serious condition. Never use your lighter if you are on blood thinners, pregnant or trying to get pregnant. ;D
