Lets just say that it is very hard for a young person not to see just how fast a car is.
DID PETE WORK THERE AT SOME POINT IN HIS LIFE?...*grin*

He, he.  I believe Castle did, too.  I know a LOT of ex-Lavery people around -- me included...

Castle did not work there, and I was there for a couple years having worked numerous postions.  Especially ones that involved the occasional test drive.  But only only on a purely professional basis.  Just dont ask me what my personal best MPH on Woodward is.

I was there when several IDIOT porters were fired for taking Porsche 911's our for speed runs.  One MORON took a prestine 993 Turbo up to 100 mph on the back road behind the dealer!  Thankfully, the service manager saw it and he was canned on the spot.

I used to train the porters there, and I wouldn't let a new guy near a Porsche unless he could keep the revs under 1000rpm when moving it.

Well I was there almost 20 years ago and we had some really good people working there at the time and a few jerks. Biggest problem was with management -- far to clique-ish and childish at times, with little understanding of "lesser" but vitally important employees. Sigh :-\

^ Yeah, just ask Castle about his talking me out of that P.O.S. black E30 before I ended up getting the Taxi that magically ended up in his garage...

hahaha!!! I still remember that phone conversation to this day.  Pete in my defense the M3 would have cost you a lot more money in the long run than your A4.

dude I had no idea I was going to get that car.  Anyways your better off with the A4 cause that M3 never would have made it this long.
