Who has an awesome home theater system in Metro Detroit?
« on: January 17, 2009, 09:10:57 AM »
We should have a GTG to watch some racing movies.
I would invite people to my house but my basement system is only setup for 4 people max. :(

Minimum requirement: Minimum 36" flat screen or rear projector, 5.1 Dolby/DTS surround with decent seating for 8.

You provide the place I'll provide the movie(s).

I have a "special" racing movie we should watch soon.  Maybe we can convince David to open up his home twice this year?

...did I hear my name??
You know with the new Brookwood Garage and Studio in effect, we could do both the movies and some lite repairs!
The first Saturday I have available is Feb 14. That's also known as Valentine's Day, and it doesn't mean radar detectors. Think the Sig Others would put up with that? Maybe if somebody brought a heart-shaped cake... something to increase the "awww" factor. I spent the last Valentine's Day in the cab of a steam locomotive and the wounds were only superficial (and nothing to do with steam).
We're open to it. Start the discussion.

So um, we gonna do this?
Salem Cinema: seats 9, screen 92" (that may be width), Dolby and DTS 5.1 with over a kilowatt of RMS audio and a 24" sub.

Swapping the Turbo isn't really a light repair - but the movie does sound interesting : )

Yes, stellar idea. And you know what else? We still have the mini-keg of Hineken that I believe Stephan brought to the August picnic!

Yeah, a turbo swap mite be a little intensive, but for something quicker, it's a comfy 58

I'm unfortunately single, but I do have to work on Saturday until 7.  I could maybe hightail it out there after work.

Jeff, what could be more romantic than a pizza dinner and a (racing) movie?  Don't cave into the peer pressure.
