Just went by there today and wow, what a nice place.  They are biggest with BMWs but are doing performance modifications to all European brands.  Really nice guys, really clean place, I'd recommend them.

Stopped by there myself.  Horst seems like great guy, and seems very knowledgeable towards planning out long term modification ideas.

From what I gathered, Horst has the best of intentions.  Think of him as a long term tuning consultant.  He helps you map out a plan for what you ultimately want out of your car, and they help you achieve it.

Very true.  I've talked to both Horst and Eric and am trully impressed with how they look at tuning and modifications.  I'll have to talk with them about doing an open house when the weather breaks.

Do they do any custom exhaust work?  I'm looking for someone to do some cutting & welding of mandrel stainless steel.

I don't know if they are equipped to do anything like that but I do know that they are very knowledgable.  Guru took his Saab there for some work and a checkup and I was quite impressed with the answers they gave back.

I have since bought several items through VR Performance: H&R springs, Bilstein struts, and a Miltech exhaust.  Prices were reasonable and customer service was good.  Occasionally I'd stop by the shop only to find it closed & locked; with a small staff if they take a lunch or do some other activity (renting Gratan, running to the bank, etc.) the shop is closed because there aren't any warm bodies to mind the store.

Everything has been a positive experience and I will be a returning customer.

They do not have a welder on site but do have an arrangement with another company; this is how they handled the modifications to my test pipe.

Guru is having a header/exhaust installed on his GTO this week plus a couple other goodies.  BTW, for those who need it....they have a fender roller there  :)
