What is this all about.... is this people going up to have a good time, or people that actually do this for a living?


I see that the top 10 or so cars are all Evo's, WRX's, and a hyundai

OK, this is coming up quick (next weekend).  For anyone who might be going up, here's a few rendezvous points where we'll probably be for sure.  I'll have my 81 urq and my buddy will have his 68 911 (blue).  The entry list looks like one of the best in recent years.

Friday:

Parc Expose, 1-2:30 - Downtown Lewiston, Kneeland Avenue.

Talley's Log Cabin Bar is right on the corner and a good place for some brew.

Cars are back in Lewiston for Service 4:40-6:00PM.

Saturday:

Parc Expose, 8-9AM, Atlanta High School (on 2nd thought, I'm not getting up that early ...).

Service, 11:30-12:45, Atlanta High School

Super Special I, approx 2-3PM, Buttles Rd Gravel Pit, West of Atlanta, just South of M-32.

Don't know which stages we'll be at yet.

Cheap, no.  It's about $70-100/night in Gaylord.  You can find absolute dives near Hilman with places like Jack's Landing (no bathrooms in the room, bucket under the sink, etc...).  But my dad and I are heading to Gaylord to spend the night and will drive back to Atlanta Saturday morning.

don't forget duct tape to attach your pants to your boots.  Nobody likes snow in the shoes.

Great weekend.  Still thawing out a bit.  The highlight for me was talking with John Buffum about the 'quattro era' in rallying.  I watched him rally at the Press On Regardless in the early 80's and that's what got me hooked on quattros and rallying.  He even signed the visor on my car!
