Is there an easy way to tell what alternator??

Wondering if I have a Bosch or Valeo. After all the crap I just wnt through to get this car right now the alternator sounds as if the bearings are toast.  Of course I just had the front clip off to do the timing belt too. >:(

Look on the back of it or just call the dealer give them your vin and let them tell you which one you have.

Thanks, I'll give the dealer a call.

Called the dealer, and they said they have to pull some stuff off and get a little mirror out to read the #.

With the different alternators, what is the difference between them?? Bolt pattern? Wiring harness? Both?
