o2 replacement
« on: December 31, 2006, 03:10:23 AM »
I need to replace the rear two o2 sensors (there are 4... 2 before the cat and 2 after) on my b5 A4 2.8 quat.  the problem is that audi seems to have lodges them nicely inbetween the tranny and a heat shield top dead center on the exhaust.  looks to me as if the whole exhaust needs to be unbolted from the headers and lowered...

question one: can anyone confirm this is what needs to be done in order to reach the sensors and wiring?

question two: if that is the case, then there is no way i can do the work myself and need to find a good shop or someone willing to do the work for an honest price.  hell, i'm even more than willing to help out... i just want this fixed and done with. :'(

Contact Stefan at GMW in Waterford.  He's honest, fair and one hell of a mechanic.

last time I was at GMW Stefan was doing that exact job.  Not something I'd want to try and tackle myself.
