Engine and Trans from Canada
« on: November 06, 2007, 11:26:42 AM »
Does anyone know if the 2.0L engine and 6 speed transmission from Canada are the same as the ones used on US vehicles?  Thanks.

Chances are yes.  The only difference may be some emissions crap.

I can't imagine it being different.  Besides the fact that Canada runs on 91 octane, which wouldn't make the engine any different, but maybe ECU map different.
I'm stocky.

LOL Nice -

I read his post incorrectly the first time.  The motors are the same, they build them for a world market.
ECU maybe different in terms of programming but I'm guessing they all have the North America tune for our quality of gasoline and sulphur content.
