lemons '08
« on: October 16, 2007, 05:12:40 PM »
Hi all, after having missed the lemons 07 event due to timing, we're looking at getting a great head start on the '08 event!
I've still got the list of interested parties from last year, but would rather start from scratch and get teh team together sooner rather than later.
We've got offers on space, transportation and a couple of potential sponsors. This is truly the starting point for next year and we'd like to get a list of interested parties for next fall's event.

BTW, I've heard from a good source that they are moving the event to the Toledo speedway because of space constraints at Flatrock.  I'd be in but at this point I cannot foresee me having the disposable income needed to do this right by the drop of the green flag.

I'll have my own team again this year with my fraternity brothers, but one thing for you guys to remember is that your application must be accepted before you are guaranteed a spot in the race.  Once the entry deadline passes the organizers go through the entries and select the ones that will fill the available spots.  There are usually more entrants than spaces, so don't go wild and spend a lot of money before you're sure you're in the race.  We didn't find out for sure that we were in the race until 2 months before the race.

With that said, good luck!  Feel free to ask me any questions you have about the race.  I'll be looking forward to competing with you next year.  it is truely the most fun I've ever had in a car.  You guys are going to run an Audi, right?
