howard cooper
« on: September 06, 2007, 02:09:53 PM »
went down there today to have them replace the belly pan that fell off along with the screws.

Even ECS charges an arm and a leg for them, but I paid 33$ today for all the f'ing screws.  Plastic and metal.

Can anyone post a postal address where I can mail an angry letter to audi about the cost of these things?  I'm sure cooper charges the same as the rest of the stealerships.

Sometimes you can balk at the price and they will give it to you cheaper.   I did that with a wheel bearing (at RH)and got them down to $45 from $60.   I got the discounted price.    I've gotten free nuts from them too in the past.

The coolant temp sensor was about $27, I could have gotten it online for $22, but with shipping it was more or less the same price.

I have to "cut a deal" with dealer parts guys just for them to sell it to me AT LIST... I didn't even try to get them to sell me parts at the discounted online price, just doing it for list was pulling teeth!!
