Anyone delt with motorwerks?
« on: August 02, 2007, 04:53:59 PM »
Curious if anyone has dealt with them before.  Quoted me 191 dollars for an all wheel alignment.  Seem to be knowledgeable, and their are tons of nice modded cars there.
I'm stocky.

You mean on Walnut Lake Rd in Commerce Twp?  Not personally, but do know someone with a WRX who's had good experiences there.

ive had lots of experience with them.  very knowledgeable, very nice and reliable, very pricey.  Remember rogers s4 that i believe took best in show or something maybe 1st place in b6 audi at motorstadt 2 years ago.  everything he has done was done there.  ive had my fairshare of 1st hand experience with them as well and i definitely recommend them, just if money is a big issue then maybe look elsewhere.

I was there when they 1st opened in '04. They did the exhaust, airbox, and rims on my S4. Satish Tumala is the owner. Motorwerks is very good with Mercs. I just went back a few months ago, they have expanded alot and seem to be doing very well. I would give them a shot to do your alignment.

I've heard some mixed reactions regarding that shop.  Mainly that they're great for anyone with a Mercedes, and hit and miss with pretty much anything else.

There were a few mitigating issues that I understand very well now. Regardless, they treated me like gold and resolved the problems to the best of their ability at the time. I had one of the 1st full Milltek systems to be put on a car here in the States. Second, the system wasn't perfected. The shop had only been open for a few days and I had talked them into something they had might not have been prepared to do. My fault for being over anxious in retrospect. I think they could whip out a simple alignment with no problem.

They're nice people but some of the techs are pretty "poor". Satish the owner is a very nice and knowledgeable guy. I found my friend his 540 there and he got a good deal on it and they treated us very well. After that I took another friend to get an oil change done on his Toureg and they messed that up BAD. Forgot to tighten the drain plug and oil leaked all over my buddy's garage. They claimed their tech that did the change was new and wasn't that experienced  ::) but they took care of the problem.

Satish has worked on my cars as well as cars for many of my friends...including Roger's old S4.  I'd give them a thumbs up.

Client of mine has a few italians that he has serviced there. he swears by them. Owners are good enough guys and they run a pretty tight ship there from what i can tell.
