Farmington Maaco- Miata rust repair
« on: July 29, 2007, 01:08:28 PM »
Took the Miata there to have the rust cut out of it.   I tried looking around for another one, but all the others I saw were junkier than mine, so we decided to have it fixed.

You'd have to be nuts to take a car there i you had insurance, but for the money I'm happy.   They cut out the driver rear rocker and wheel well, and did the right rear rocker for $700.   The paint is not perfect my any means, but it looks a lot better.

I'll be taking mine into Autometric Utica here is a month or so.  Thankfully I know a guy who knows a guy for a little better pricing.

They did a fine job 3rd or 4th time around. Just took them awhile to realize I wasn't going to accept the car with poor paint and cladding hanging off the car. I just wish they did it right the first time instead of trying to pass off a less then complete job on me.

Would have liked to have taken it to another shop, but didn't want to spend the money.   I no longer drive it in the rain, and I doesn't see winters either anymore.   I'm hoping it will last for a while.

Haven't read much about Rabbits. There we a few at Motorstadt, true. But, not many seen here.
Silly :P
