While I was pricing out a Rear Break Pads job...

I thought the price from AFH was oureageous!!! They quoted me $300 to replace rear break, I mean "brake," pads!!!!!!!!!!!!! CAN YOU BELEIVE ONE OF THE WRITER ACTUALLY TOLD ME $50.00 OEM PADS WILL COST ME $130 from him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(

Brakes not Breaks.

I think auto-shops are taxed on inventory on hand, generally they mark up the cost of parts by 30%.

The labor rate is $125 an hour, so yeah it's outrageous, but that's life an autoshop.

I understand that... but when "their" Parts Dept. quote me $61.82 for the part... I think that's kinda like... they are telling cutomers, "you are stooopid."  I think that is wrong... Then I guess that's life an autoshop....

It is ok... I know the spelling for brake is B.R.A.K.E., and not B.R.E.A.K.. Sorry I was not paying close attention to what I was typing that day. Didn't mean to step on your toe. I will edit & revise, and also have a dictionary handy from now on...  ;D
