HID Bulbs
« on: December 17, 2006, 07:07:38 AM »
I want brighter visibility while driving. Since I deleted the fog lamps, I need to upgrade the brightness.  The bright blue hue is what I'm looking for. Which color temperature do you guys recommend?

I would not recommend anything higher than 6k.

I have 6000k and I love it.  The blue is just right and so is the brightness.  Agreed on not going 8-12k.

Yes Carlos, your stock HIDs are 4200k . The 6000k is a bit bluer but you do loose a little bit of visibility, which IMO is good trade off. Now the question is where do we get the 6000k D2S bulbs for a reasonable price(really cheap), because my HID bulbs are almost 7 years old and I'm sure they've lost a lot of their output.

I'll be checking a few places this week for pricing.  Maybe I'll arrange a group buy if anyone's interested once I get pricing.

This is where I buy my kits. Least expensive and good service so far, bought three kits from them so far and like it very much.
