I bought my Mazda MX 3 GS from Metro Mazda in Ferndale. Had a great experience with sales and service.

At the time it was good. Not too sure now, but I haven't heard anything bad @ the place.

Wouldn't surprise me.  Most smaller dealers need to keep their customers to do well -- so they actually CARE about the customer and want him/her back  ;D

I got my MX-5 from SESI mazda in Ypsi.   I have had bad luck with Thayer Mazda (they were trying to hide a rebate from me) and with VW too (horrible incompetence).

Why can't we just buy a car from the manufacturer on the internet??  That would be sooooo much better!!  Bypass the dealers, I say!

Ya think about it, we probably could save money buying direct.  There is no invoice and MSRP shit to worry about!

All "Suburban Collection" dealership Suck!!!!
last year when my girlfriend was looking at a Passat to lease they were rude and told us there was no way she could get the car for less than $320 a month.
she got the exact same one from Fox for $286/ month, no money down.
went to look last week at a used Ford Focus for my kid, they lost the sale after i complained about them charging me sales tax on the documentation fee, which in its own is already a rip off, paying them do fill out the paperwork!! I told them this was a fee not a good but they refused to deduct $10.80 from the sale price!
they argued with me and finally told me they will sell the car to someone who wants to buy a car!
well guess what i bought 2 Focuse(or is it Foci) but will never set foot in any of their dealership nor will i talk nicely about them!!

That is truly a shame.  I feel they have gotten too big for their own good.  They forgot about the customer and they seem to be strictly in it for the numbers.  I am still shocked on how I was treated and will never step foot into another Suburban dealer again.  Unfortunately for the Suburban Collection, word travels fast!!  Referrals are huge these days and I am certainly not offereing that option at all.  I would be embarrased if I did.

this is all kinda sad..........Kelly and I were discussing various opptunities for her and I mentioned she'd probably do pretty well selling cars.   problem is, i'm not crazy about her being in Troy.........almost everything is suburban...........thought about bill cook or honda in novi  (but, both suburban)

not crazy about GM/Chrysler....came up with one, maybe 2 Ford stores we'd consider........don't want her to be starvin @ something like Jag/Benz......

which left Erhard BMW and Land Rover, (both, Novi locations)  I'd rather have her do Audi than BMW, but whatever...........which techincally leave Land Rover.

any input????   we're just kickiing ideas/considering options at the point.

Bill Cook (Suburban) is without a doubt the worst dealer in the metro area.  Nationaly they are ranked at the bottom of customer satisfaction.  I bought there because they have the cool cars,  Audi, Nissan, Mazda and Porsche.  The nissan service was bad,  the Mazda worse and the Audi Service,  well those clowns were not able to fix the simplist things.  The car was in for a power steering leak, that it did from day one,  it's almost two years later and it's still leaking.  This kid call and tries to tell me it's the way we drive the car that's causing it to continue to leak.  I said two words to the kid "that's bullshit".  He hung up on me.  When I called him back,  he said he wasn't going to deal with me if I was going to swear at him.
Finaly after about two years they fixed the steering leak.  They broke the windshield fluid bottle,  that took the remaing two years of warranty to fix.  NO MORE CAR FROM COOK.  I still have the A4 the warranty peroid is over, if it needs service I will go elsewhere.   When I needed a car this spring,  I decided to try American again.   I have a Saturn Aura XR,  Which I like as well as my 3.0 A4 and they treat me like a human.

shame...just a damn shame.  I'll admit that most suburban dealers suck, but the one in novi for acura is pretty good.  I've had nothing but good experience from them personally while we've purchased our cars there.   Regardless of sales and service, the honda dealership next door is a whole new story.
I'm stocky.

Timmy!  Really sorry about your plight.  I had no idea.  Unprofessionalism is uncalled for.

If you want to know how childish and clickish some of these places can be, remember that I was doing pretty well at Fred Lavery's back in '90 when my father was in the market for a new audi and Fred's didn't have one equiped the way he wanted it.  The salesman actually had the gaul to misread my father and tell him to wait for the newer model when it came out.

So my dad bought the car the way he wanted at Bill Cooks (which had a great reputation at the time), just as he had bought his previous 2 audis from them.  Two weeks later our sales manager (George Davis) confronts me and I tell him, hey, my dad wanted to buy a car and you didn't want to sell him one -- I'm not his keeper.  One week later and "Merry Xmas, we need to let you go, cutbacks, you know"... Yeah, right.  ::)

u had Davis for a manager @ Lavery????   lol.  what a small world
