It isn't closing??  Make sure you realign the latching mechanism and check to make sure the panels arn't overlapping.

well its closing. the issue is when the hood is closed the passenger side locks down and has no movement at the front corner by the headlight and fender. but on the driver side the catch spring locks down but there is movement (up and down movement) at the corner by the headlight and fender. why do i have this movement? my buddy and i adjusted the catch spring almost all the way out and all the wat in and still have that movement. btw the headlights arent installed yet. here is my post about it over on aw

castle, did you use b4 bump stops (or whatever the proper name is) on your cq when you swapped to a b4 hood?

nah I just put the hood on.  Had a similar issue with the drivers side having more play than the pass side.  I just drove it like that.

It is still latched but sorta loose.

i'm not sure whats up with my putfile account. it looks like i can upload huge pics in my gallery account on here.

i need to get the lower headlight trim pieces. i also need to buy new washer jets cause i messed up the old ones from my b3 hood. keep the quattro badge or remove it?

i had a quattro badge in the grille on my a4 then took it out and i really like how it looks w/o on there. i guess i'll keep it on the cq for now and see if it'll grow on me

today pete stopped by to help do the timing belt job on the motor. it's about 1/2 done at the moment. i took off the a/c and a/c bracket off the motor too since i'm taking it out of the coupe because it not worth the money to get the a/c fixed on the car. it'll help save weight which is a plus 8)

i finally got the b4 swap finished. i repainted the lower headlight trim pieces and took off those god ugly headlight washers. now i have speed holes in the bumper :P lol



heres a better pic of the euro rear license plate holder. as you can see i didnt trim the plate cover very well so you can see brite white plate that i extreamly hate! oh well
