hey stop looking at my bare ass! lol j/k!

the other day i finally tracked down why i kept smelling gas in my cq. the stereo shop that mounted my amp, screwed it down to the floor of the hatch area and used too long of a screw. i replaced the amp with my older one thats smaller in size and i mounted it to the back seat so its out of the way. main reason i switched to my smaller amp and mounted it to the back of the rear seat is to leave room for my full size spare when i throw it in the back when i go traveling long distances.
after awhile i noticed a slight gas smell and didnt think of it much after i switched amps. last week when i was out driving around town i had a stronger smell of gas. this past tuesday i decided to see if i could find the problem and i started to take out the rear carpeting and the metal plate that covers the fuel tank. i noticed that there was a tiny hole from the bigger amp that was mounted from the stereo shop and after i filled the tank and drove hard around a corner the gas spilt on the fabric of the metal cover that sits over the gas tank. i bought a fuel tank patch kit and patched the hole and ripped out the fabric that got wet from the gas.
since i had the whole carpet area removed from the hatch area i noticed the nuts that held the stock rebar bumper and i started on removing the stock rear bumper. the cq is just sitting in the drive way waiting for new side mounting brakcets that i need to replace (see pic below, click on to view bigger version) because it holds the nut where the bolt holds the sides of the bumper skin and they rusted out/broke and just spun the nut that was in the mounting bracket so i had to cut the bolts out.

also i'm trying to figure out how to mount the euro bumper bracket.
as you can see in this link the hole bolt of the euro bumper bracket would go through the big hole where the stock bumper shocks fit thru. so i'm wondering if i need a big washer to fit in there so i can use a nut to tighten down the bracket.
