Vipsa - Where in Keego Harbor did you get yours done?  How do you like it / How well did they do?  If you dont' mind me asking, what did you get done and how much was it?  (You can answer in PM if you'd prefer).

Thanks. d

Must be my lucky day; I spoke with Darren and his brother Eric today.

A LOT of changes going on with their business this summer.  They have new phone numbers, a new shop, and a new name;  "Paint Shield".

They are moving more into paint protection film and away from window tinting.  Though I was told they would still do some tint on referals, and that they may be opening a window tint focused shop in the near future.

The new shop is in Wixom; pretty much at the Beck Road / I-96 intersection.

New phone numbers:
Darren:  248-376-4676
Eric:      248-376-4776
General: 888-884-8468

Web site:  www.paintshield.net   (A work in progress)

I did tell them the only negative I've heard is how hard it's been to get a hold of them this summer.  Eric said they understood this and were working hard to take steps to improve their responsiveness.

I don't know.  He did say Darren and (another guy; can't remember his name) are both Master installers of the paint protection film.  They are both working at the shop and typically tag-team a vehicle.  Eric told me that there are only 6 Master installers in the state and they've got 2 of them.  True or not, I'm not sure, just sharing what he told me.

Some of the companies that manufacture the film require a special training to get their endorsement to be a dealer.

I have to give props to Darren, he does outstanding work.  Getting in touch with him and getting the car to him was a bit shaky, but the final product is very nice.

I was all set to drop the car off on a Thursday night and he had to bail from the shop early.  He called my work phone so I didn't get the message. I left the car at the shop wondering how I'd get the keys to him the next morning.  Because I'm not far from his shop, he offered to swing by my house Friday morning to pick them up.  I thought that was a nice way of outperforming my expectations.

Long story short, I'm very happy with the end product; we got the ceramic tint (30%).
