Platinum or Iridium?
« on: December 15, 2006, 01:05:08 AM »
Anybody have any pros cons for the Iridium plugs? I haven't heard of anyone trying them on a 2.7t yet.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

I'm a big fan of NGK coppers... just have to change them more freq, but well worth it when you consider the price diff for the same performance

I like the coppers too, but changing sparkplugs on a 1.8T takes all of 10 minutes too.   I would just go with the OEM NGK's (?)   The iridiums are so expensive.

I know some folks have had bad experiences with the supposedly better 'expensive' style plugs that have fancy names that include rare metals.

AFAIK stock NGK plugs are what u want for best performance and reliability.
