Still have these. Ingo, they are calling your name.

This is a pair of Polk Audio loudspeakers, before they went high volume.  The speakers are their high end Stereo Dimensional Array Signature Reference System.  The sound quality of these speakers, even now 17 years after they were made is outstanding.  They actually don't have many hours on them due to me not having a house for most of the time I've owned them.

Specs and features:
Dimensions:  21 3/4" W x 13 1/8" D x 55" H
Weight:  approx. 155 lbs each
speakers:  Three dome tweeters, six midrange speakers, one 12" bass radiator.
DC resistance:  6 ohms nominal

I am the only owner, and I have the original receipts and the owners manual (which goes into more detail on set up and specs).  I've got them hooked to a Carver Receiver, bought at the same time, which I could part with as well if needed.  It should be sufficient to demonstrate the speakers, as well as the Denon CD player.  Bring whatever you want to listen if you are interested.


Original price for the speakers was $2200 for the pair.

My asking price now is $500.  Due to their size, I'll help you move them.  I have a two wheel dolly that can handle them.

I used Craig's list for these.  I posted them yesterday morning.  Within an hour, one inquiry who bought them and picked them up last night.  Later yesterday, another inquiry, and this morning before I could pull the ad down, a third inquiry.  Craig's list rocks, at least for electronics.  Maybe my price was too low? I don't know, but I bought those so long ago, the asking price seemed OK to garner some interest, and it did.

Always check for other sales or sales on eBay to verify your price.  Too late on this one, but if you do that in the future, you'll know your asking price is fair and not too high/low.

Glad for you  , bummer for me.  I didn't realize you were putting them up on Craigslist so fast. Heck, I didn't get back in town until Wednesday morning at 4 am.  Sh*t.

I was really amazed at the reponses I got for them, and so quickly.

I have a Carver Receiver that I don't need anymore, now that the speakers are gone.  Interested?  Everything works with the exception of the speaker A-channel, due to me screwing up the jacks in back.  Electrically it works great. $200. :-)

It was just called the Carver Receiver with Magnetic Field Power Amplifier.  It has a built in pre-amp and amp (150W per channel, RMS power, both channels driven).  At the time, it was their only receiver, otherwise they were selling tuners, pre-amps, and amps as separates.  I have the owner's book still.

I know the one.  One of my college roomates had one.  Loved it.  I'm afraid I'll have to pass, though.  Can't justify right now.
